THE ENGELBLAU SHOW PRESENTS "HISTOIRE DE COEUR" LIVE FROM THE SAN DAMIANO OPERA HOUSE
CAN BE USED FOR COURSE CREDIT IN THE EUCATASTROPHE DEPARTMENT

As we have noted, listening is step two in the PLUG educational program of Uriel's University.
We repeat: the first duty of love is to listen, so in order to love the human heart, we must first listen to it.
However, like a volcano, the human heart is often hidden in darkness, and when the magma emerges as lava, it is violent and explosive, spewing emotional lava all over the place and causing mass evacuations of the area.
Thus, musical volcanologists such as gemmy are dispatched to study the lava and analyze it in laboratories.

These materials on this page are provided to place "Histoire de Coeur" in a wider cultural and social context.
THe first scene is in honor of a crazy Sicilian barber from a quiet new england college town, whose heart and spirit were rather volcanic and "full of hot air", clashing with the demeanor of the waspish residents and intriguing the leopard so much that she switched the topic of her radio show from blue eyed soul to opera rap.
(the first day on the job at the supermarket, she casually remarked to the girl who was training her, also a Sicilian, "what's with that wacky barber on main street?". )
The other girl had little to say and seemed uncomfortable. Not long after the barber appeared to pick her up, and it turned out he was her cousin.
IN any event, The aria easily takes on a life of its own, which can be seen from the Andre Rieux in Dresden performance, in which the flirtacious antics of the barber seem to be inspired and even finally upstaged by the spirit of the aria itself.
(but not before he ruins the honeymoon of the happy couple, and cuts off the ear of a patron while flirting)
The conductor can be seen trying to "keep the volcano in line" so to speak, and this is helpful for our studies of theology, musical psychology and volcanology.
The aria is LARGO AL FACTOTUM composed as part of an opera "buffa" in the style of the "facchino" to poke fun at the aristocracy,
FUNICULI FUNICULA, composed as a commercial for the opening of the first funiculare in Mount Vesuvius, Italy will hopefully be part of act one, scene two.
A PERFORMANCE OF THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO FROM UCAL TV

FIREWORKS MOVIE
The highest forms of music are often regarded as the "baroque" or "classical" or "operatic" period, when sums of money similar to what are now poured into streaming service companies were invested in fine instruments and beautiful halls.
Before you write this off as antiquated, have a listen.
The discipline required to sing an aria such as figaro is pretty impressive.
Dont take our word for it..try it yourself.
or, for a higher (literally adn figuratively) vocal range, try "laetare turba caelitum".
THe transfiguration is the perfect volcano feast...go up the mountain and see the energy of the divine revealed in a blinding flash, and hear the Voice of hte Volcano say "LISTEN TO HIM!!!"
If we dont listen, the volcano can get unruly and destructive, as happens in war and vendetta.
As a bit of background, research the histoire de Coeur behind FIGARO and FUNICULI...who knows but there might be a quiz coming for those who don't have the chutzpah to record their own version of figaro.
And here's another tip..watch the barber in this video summon the fountain with his aria.
