MUSICAL PSYCHOLOGY

SKANDALON SKOOLZ HAPPINESS PROGRAM:
APPLIED MUSICAL PSYCHOLOGY COURSE

TONIGHT IN NEW YORK: GO HAVE SOME FUN, WHEREVER YOU ARE

Please note many companies are not happy to be associated with the Skandalon programs, so we note that LOT RADIO has no formal ties to our organization.
Dear participants: These lectures or TED TALKS. let's give it a try and see where it goes.
We'll test out these lectures together.
Some of you are sure to understand this -- like Kera Washington's professor Gerdes Fleurant said, we have to do it to understand it.
But the theory is good because it situates the songs in a context, and removes them from the raw reality.
Because the inner reality is fragile, you can't just throw it out there like that.
SO THE QUIZZES WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE LECTURES FIRST THEN WE'LL SEE.
This course is part of a new field of psychology called musical psychology.
Music is being discovered as a very powerful means of altering your spirit and consequently your mental and physical health.
The field is new, and we don't have any knowledge of this field outside of personal experience, so the material is in a sense an applied form of the subject.
However given the fact that personal experiences can be a bit delicate and not suitable for raw presentation, for the time being we will post some TED forum lectures and the like so we can situate the material in a scientific context.

As far as situating it in the "Year with Leon" context, this class is recommended to be taken with Tolkien's Huffing Hope course, since Tolkien's Silmarillion describes the world as being created through musical angels, and the argument resulting in "paradise lost" as being primarily a musical argument.
If Tolkien is too childish for your tastes, and moreover he did not play music at least not publicly, there are many other examples especially among musicians.
Here is just one: Carlos Santana is famous for his music and we have found stories on the internet that a spirit appeared to him regarding his album "Supernatural" and described a musical plan to educate the world.
People may think Santana is simply superstitious because of his Mexican heritage, or maybe high on peyote, or maybe the spirit is evil some say so we shouldnt discuss the subject.
But Tolkien was a very well educated person who would not willingly have made deals with evil minded spirits, and there does not seem to be any evidence that he used mind altering drugs to be creative (unless you call the Eucharist itself a drug.)
For those who don't believe in anything supernatural we'll put some Gestalt theory up here.
