Uriel AKA ASTRON University

Course on Surveillance Capitalism

tuition of two dollars a class may be suggested.

This is a companion class to the Eavesdropper class, with a greater focus on the economic/social/existential aspects of surveillance rather than the political/legal aspects, though obviously all are connected.

The text (still available on the internet archive as of this evening)is nearly 500 pages and one should read about 30 pages a week so as not to be cramming at the end, if you are following the traditional trimestral schedule. Since we are in Week three, proceed accordingly and since the "apple hack" is a central tenet of the class thesis, you might want to make a list of your favorite songs and see how much Apple made off them if you can.
